The CISNET project maintains this website to enhance public access to information about its activities and to foster transnational networking and cooperation among enterprises, researchers and institutions within the Atlantic Area and the European Union.
What information is collected?
Only relevant and necessary information will be collected, being always focused on general enterprise contact data, business activities and cooperation opportunities. No personal data will be requested.
For what purpose?
These data are collected and further processed only to the extent necessary to give service to users, as described:
- To receive applications containing contact information from users (enterprises, research groups, institutions, etc.) interested in joining the CISNET project.
- To display users information (contact information, activity description, etc.) in our NETWORKING directory, aimed at fostering business links within the Atlantic Area and the European Union. This information will be available to the public.
- To display information on cooperation opportunities published by these users (description, cooperation type, formula, etc.) in our BUSINESS directory. This information will be available to the public.
- To eventually contact users, strictly for CISNET project dissemination purposes (events, workshops, etc.)
The CISNET project will not use or divulge your data for direct marketing purposes or re-used for any other incompatible purpose.
By which technical means?
These data are collected and further processed only in two ways:
- Information directly collected from users through web forms.
- Anonymous website and service usage data collected for statistical purposes.
Who has access to your information / who is it disclosed to?
CISNET project website administrators and project partners have access to your data, which is contained in a database. No personal data is shared with third parties.
Access to user data
Users have no direct access to the data stored in our server concerning the application form. If you wish to modify or delete your data, or want to know what data is stored on your behalf, please contact us.
Users have direct access (prior authentication required) to the data stored in CISNET project server concerning NETWORKING and BUSINESS directories. Users can freely browse, modify or delete those data.
How long is your data kept?
The CISNET project will only keep the data for the time necessary to fulfil the purpose of collection or further processing:
- CISNET project application form data will be kept until the end of the project, in February 2013.
- NETWORKING and BUSINESS directories will kept and publicly display data on business activity and cooperation opportunities while the website remains operational, although users can edit or delete such information anytime.
